Why Feminism must be our motto by CYSM

why feminsm should be our motto by cysm
Feminism is a misunderstood word, some people take feminism has a negative word thinking that it’s just women shouting and being rude but they’re all wrong, they live with the stigma. Feminism it’s what we need to reach gender equality. Gender equality it’s having the same opportunities, the same fair salary and the same respect. Women empowers other women, we gotta be a community of people to protect unpowered and safeless woman. In order to be considered a feminist, you only need to be on board with one idea: All humans, male and female, should have equal political, economic and social rights. Being a feminist has nothing to do with how you look, what you wear, who you date, or how often you have sex.
But why we need feminism to be our motto? well first of all, to end stereotypes like "women should be on the kitchen” or “woman can do man stuff”, As Lena Dunham said, “Feminism isn’t a dirty word. It’s not like we’re a deranged group who think women should take over the planet, raise our young on our own and eliminate men from the picture.”
We need feminism because there’s only 20% percent of women in the congress, we need more women taking care of political matters. We also need it because we still got a 23 percent pay gap for the same work effort. Equality in the workplace it’s something very important, what a better way that give the message that we all worth the same.
We also need feminism because we deserve the right to dress whatever we want and still feel safe. It’s not a gender issue, it’s humanity issue, being feminist means that you think that women should be treated as equal and not because women are better but because we are all humans. Sadly, this text it’s just not for man but also woman who does not realize that they need feminism in their lives. We still got the hope that someday we don’t need feminism because it wont be needed. We still got the hope that feminism become a way of life.
